Secondary Teachers Association donates to CM's relief fund
Patna, Aug 17 (UNI) Bihar Secondary Teachers Association(BSTA) today donated Rs one lakh to the Chief Minister's relief fund and announced that the secondary teachers would donate one day's salary, amounting to Rs 1.5 crore, to the fund for relief operations in the flood affected areas.
After donating the sum, association's president and former MP Shatrughan Prasad Singh and general secretary and MLC Kedar Pandey said here that the 30,000 secondary teachers would also donate their one day salary to the CM's relief fund.
Accompanying Mr Singh and Mr Pandey, the CPI state secretary Badrinarayan Lal and party MLA Gajendra Prasad Singh announced six legislators of the CPI in both the Houses would also donate their one month salary for the flood-hit people in the CM relief fund.
Meanwhile, Kalyanpur Cement Limited donated Rs four lakhs to the fund and supplied four thousand food packets for the flood affected people.
