Rajeswaran appointed NCP General Secretary
Chennai, Aug 17 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Member of Parliament Dr V Rajeswaran has been appointed the party's National General Secretary.
The appointment was made by NCP National President and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar.
A communication to this effect was issued by party National Secretary Tariq Anwar, copy of which was released to the press here today by NCP State President ''Tindivanam'' K Ramamurthee.
Mr Rajeswaran said the party would become a mass movement and strive to protect the interests of the farmers.
Mr Ramamurthee said the membership enrolment drive would commence at Madurai in the first week of next month.
