Punjab Police interrogates Dera chief
Sirsa, Aug 17 (UNI) A Punjab police team arrived here today to interrogate Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh in connection with a case against him for hurting religious sentiments of the Sikhs.
The sixteen-member Bhatinda police team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Surinder Pal Singh and Inspector Harvinder Pal Singh Virk, had already entered the Dera Sacha Sauda on the outskirts of the city to interrogate the Dera chief in the case slapped against him for allegedly imitating the Tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh, police said.
The Dera chief, who was granted bail in the case, was earlier questioned by the police on July 30.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court had directed the Dera chief to cooperate with the police in the investigations.
