CM meets mill officials

Puducherry, Aug 17: Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today held discussions with Bharathi Textile Mills officials to ascertain whether the sprawling 17-acre land of the mill could be utilised for some other purpose.

Later, Mr Rangasamy told newspersons here that a few employees were working in the mill and several sheds remained closed.

To a question, he said he was yet to receive any complaint on the alleged difficulties in getting unemployment allowance. The Tahsildar had been adivised to issue certificates in this regard.
