Opposition predicts President's rule in the state

Bangalore, Aug 17 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh today said the transfer of power between Janata Dal (Secular) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may not be a smooth affair, anything could happen and even President's rule might also be imposed.

Talking to newspersons here, he said '' all is not well between the two coalition parties, there is lot of confusion and differences of opinion and they have been misleading the people on the issue of transfer of power on October 3 as per the agreement reached before forming the government.'' Stating that there were several options to overcome the present political situation, Mr Singh reiterated that discontented legislators of both JD(S) and BJP were likely to come out and help Congress to form the government on its own. However, the final decision to form Congress government was left to the party high command, he added.
