Land scam case: Canteen manager given ten-day CBI custody
New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) A special CBI court today sent the manager of the canteen in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, to ten days' custody of the investigating agency for his alleged role in the multi-crore slum land scam case.
The CBI had earlier arrested R S Sandhu, who managed the canteen of Ashok Malhotra, a contractor and the prime accused in the land scam case.
The agency contended that Sandhu had helped Malhotra in making the fake documents and said it would be able to recover more documents from him.
Special Judge S K Kaushik granted the CBI its request for Sandhu's remand and sent him to ten days' custody. Malhotra is already in CBI's custody for 14 days and will be produced in court on August 21.
