HC directs 2 institutions to refund excess fee

Allahabad, Aug 17 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has directed two Meerut-based institutions to refund excess fee collected from 64 MBBS students, admitted on payment seats of 2002-03 batch and for subsquent yrs for the same batch, within a month.

The institutions are K K B Charitable Trust and Subharti Medical College.

Passing the order, Justice S Ambwani directed that the college will pay Rs 10,000 as costs of these petitions to the students by depositing it in the Students Welfare Fund.

Allowing the writ petitions filed by Abhishek Kodian, Arshad Jamal and others, the court said these colleges are entitled to charge fee on the basis of a government order of January 8, 2003.
