Indore, Aug 17 (UNI) Police arrested 15 Congress workers for showing black flags against film star Amir Khan at the airport here this morning for allegedly causing dishonour to the national flag at a function here yesterday.

Additional Superintendent of Police Manoj Shrivastava said the Congress workers registered their protest when Amir was on his way back to Mumbai after his one-day tour here for a commercial programme. Later, they were released.

According to City Youth Congress President Devendra Singh Yadav, Amir Khan visited an automobile show room here last night.

Eleven national flags had been put up at the show room gate even late in the night. According to the flag code, they should have been lowered before sunset.

Mr Yadav said an application had been submitted to the Superintendent of Police demanding that a case for causing dishonour to the national flag be registered against Amir Khan and show room owner Rakesh Rajpal. The party would approach the court if no case was registered against them, he said.
