Buddha Amarnath Yatra starts tomorrow, Ritambhara performs yagna
Jammu, Aug 17 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Sadhwi Ritambhara today performed ''yagna'' in the presence of pilgrims on Ved Mandir premises, Ambphlla, for the peaceful and hurdle-free completion of the week-long Buddha Amarnath Yatra beginning tomorrow.
Addressing the pilgrims, Sadhwi Ritambhara hoped that the centuries-old yatra would help in restoring the confidence of the minorities living in far-flung and militant-infested areas.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) J&K unit president Dr Ramakant Dubey said the first batch would leave for Poonch tomorrow from Ved Mandir complex. The state government assured to make proper security arrangements, he added.
For the smooth conduct of the yatra, Baba Buddha Amarnath Yatra Samiti Mandi has constituted various committees at Jammu, Rajouri, Sunderbani, Surankote, Poonch and Mandi, Prakash Sharma, Bajrang Dal national president said.
