Both the precious metals decline

Mumbai, Aug 17: Both the precious metals declined today as silver crashed by Rs 880 per kg while gold by Rs 120 per ten gm owing to sustain heavy selling presuure at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the opening rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg).999 fineness grade: Rs 16,725, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 8,775, Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 8,825.
