Three killed in blast near Afghan capital
KABUL, Aug 15 (Reuters) Three people were killed in an explosion near the Afghan capital Kabul today, but it was not yet clear what caused the blast, the chief of police said.
French soldiers blocked roads leading to the site of the blast.
The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was aware there had been an incident in the Kabul region and there had been Afghan civilian casualties, but was so far unaware of any foreign military casualties, a spokesman said.
