Five get Lt Guv's commendation Certification on I-Day
Port Blair, Aug 15 (UNI) Altogether five people from different walks of life were honoured with the coveted Lt Governor's Commendation Certificate here on the occasion of Independence Day today.
The awardees included a doctor, two Coast Guard Officer, a horticulturist and a teacher.
Dr Shiv Shankar Singh of Andaman's G B Pant hospital was awarded the Lt Governor's Commendation Certification in recognition of his dedication and devotion to duty and his concern for ailing people.
The second certificate was awarded to Commandant Rajendra Nath of Indian Coast Guard in recognition of his service to the nation.
Adhikari Peter Roni Tigga of Indian Coast Guard Services was also awarded the Lt Governor's Commendation Certificate in recognition of his devotion to duty, outstanding professional skills and the acts of bravery.
Dr DR Singh, a Scientist of Central Agricultural Research Institute was also awarded with the LG's Commendation Certificate in recognition of his extraordinary professional competency and exceptional service in the filed of Horticulture in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Y Subramanian, a Head Master of Andaman's Education Department was also honoured with the LG's Commendation Certificate today.
