Criminal shot dead in police encounter

Bulandshahr, Aug 15: A criminal was shot dead in police encounter at Meerut highway, about 12 km from here, this morning.

Senior Superintendent of Police Sujeet Pandey told the sources '' four criminals, who were aboard a looted truck, were intercepted in Gulabathi area.'' While, one of them was shot dead in police firing, other three managed to escape.

The quartet were coming on the looted truck from Muzaffarnagar.
