UP effects major bureaucratic reshuffle

Lucknow, Aug 14 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government today transferred 18 Indian Administrative Services(IAS) officers, moving out two Principal Secretaries to the Chief Minister and giving new postings to eight other Principal Secretaries.

Principal Secretaries to the Chief Minister Rohit Nandan and Ashok Kumar have been posted as Principal Secretary, Primary Education and Tourism and Principal Secretary, Medical Education and Handicapped Welfare respectively.

Director(administration) Medical and Health K Ravindra Nayak and Provancial Civil Services(PCS) officer and special secretary Finance Mukesh Mittal have been made Special Secretaries to the Chief Minister, in their place.

According to an official release here, Principal secretary Primary Education Manoj Kumar will be Principal Secretary Agriculture Education and Research Department while Principal Secretary excise and Sugarcane Development Harminder Raj Singh has been made Principal Secretary Agricutlure.

Principal Secretary Agriculture, Agriculture Education and Research Netram will be the new Principal Secretary Excise and Sugar Development while Principal Secretary Forests Desh Deepak Verma and Principal Secretary Cooperatives Srikrishna will swap their posts.

Mr K Chandramaul, Commissioner Social Welfare has been transferred to the post of Principal Secretary Tax and Registration in place of Ms Neeta Choudhury, who has been made Principal Secretary Higher Education. Principal Secretary Education R K Mittal was made the Commissioner Social Welfare while Secretary to the Chief Minister Navneet Saigal had been given additional charge of Secretary Urban Development.

Six IAS officers, who had returned from long training programme, were also given their new postings. Ravindra has been made Staff Officer to Chairman, Revenue Board, Ms Neena Sharma and Ms Sanyukta Sammadar as Members (Judical), Revenue Board, Panthari Yadav to the post of Special Secretary, Primary Education, Ajay Kumar Singh Special Secretary Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC) department and Ajay Chauhan has been made Additional Commissioner Trade Tax, Noida.
