Three Vaishno Devi pilgrims killed, 16 injured
Jammu, Aug 14 (UNI) At least three Vaishno Devi pilgrims were killed and sixteen others injured when a light motor vehicle (LMV) skidded off the road and fell into a Nallah near Bantalab Nagrota, 15 km from Jammu city last evening, police said today.
The LMV, which was returning to Jammu from Vaishno Devi, Katra, rolled down into a nallah, sources said adding, three pilgrims died on the spot while sixteen were injured.
The deceased were identified as Raj Kumar, Nirmal Kumar and Rozy, residents of Ferozpur district in Punjab.
The injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu where the condition of two was stated to be critical, sources said.
