Suvidhaa launches S-commerce initiative
Mumbai, Aug 14 (UNI) Suvidhaa Infoserve Private Limited (SIPL), an entity backed by Shapporji Pallonji Group, today announced setting up of 'one lakh franchisee' under the brand of ''Suvidhaa,'' to offer single window platform to consumers at their neighbourhood across the country.
The chain of new S-Commerce (Service Commerce) initiative, offering various services under one roof, was expected to create a direct job to around three lakh people in the three years of time, SIPLs Managing Director Paresh Rajde told reporters here.
Mr Rajde disclosed that his company will launch its services on a franchisee model for consumers by the end of next month across 20 cities to start with, and aims to have a pan-india presence at least 50 cities in next two years and 75 cities within three years.
'Suvidhaa' will provide services to consumers on a single platform relating to Travel, Utilities, Telecom, Entertainment, Finance, Education, Telemedicine, E-governance, Lifestyle, and Payment collection.
The SIPL has already tied up with 162 utility services and efforts are on to add more and more services, Mr Rajde said.
He did not disclose the exact financial participation of Shapporjee Pallonji Group in the new venture. ''We will make it public at an appropriate time,'' he said in reply to questions on the size of a new venture.
There won't be any fee or a very minimum charge to the consumer for the services being offered.
He said the SIPL will be eyeing the consumers, mainly non-tech savy, and spread across the remote parts of the country. All the services would be provided the consumers through manned kiosk, he said.
The company has set up centrally located servers with 100 per cent redenancy and the system is capable of 120,000 transactions per minute.
