H S Krishnamurthy passed away

Bangalore, Aug 14 (UNI) Veteran freedom fighter and noted Journalist H S Krishnamurthy died of illness here today.

He was 81.

Mr Krishnamurthy, who had partcipated in freedom movement, was well known for his political reporting. He had served in Janavani-Prajamatha, Tayinadu, Kannada Prabha and Samyukta Karnataka, all language newspapers.

He was associated in in building the Karnataka Working Journalists Union and Karnataka Journalists Cooperative Union.

Journalists S V Jayasheelarao, A Krishnamurthy, Seshachandrika, Karnataka Media Academy President V N Subbarao have condoled death of Mr Krishnamurthy.
