Factory fire burns 3 employees in Purulia

Purulia, Aug 14: Three employees were injured when a fire broke out in a private iron factory on Barakar road today, police said.

All the three injured including manager Mithu Mukherjee were admitted to Purulia Sadar hospital with about 60 per cent burns, hospital's chief medical officer Dr B B Patro said.

The fire which was noticed at 0700 hours had gutted some valuable machineries and office files of the factory, some 5 kilometre west of Purulia town.

Police said two fire fighting vehicles were pressed into servie to douse the flames.
