Eight feared killed in cloudburst

Shimla, Aug 14 (UNI) Eight people were feared to have been washed away in flashfloods following a cloudburst at Ghanvi in Rampur Sub-division in this district this evening.

The toll could be more as vast tracts of land with habitations were also washed away in the flashfloods.

Civil authorities, headed by Rampur Sub-Divisional Magistrate D K Rattan, have rushed to the site to launch rescue operation, official sources said.
