Code of conduct mooted for press

Betul, MP, Aug 14 (UNI) Senior journalist Prabhash Joshi feels that the media top brass should get together for preparing a code of conduct for the Fourth Estate.

''Handicapped persons at Varanasi were recently urged by mediapersons to consume sulphas tablets and told that if their suicide bid was caught on camera then they would be granted kiosks for a livelihood. Five of handicapped persons died. Such press action is highly objectionable,'' he said here yesterday while speaking on 'Sting Operations' as part of a lecture series.
