Kohima, Aug 14: A meeting, held for talks between the Cease-Fire Supervisory Board(CFSB), NSCN(K), the Centre and Nagaland government was held here yesterday.

Official sources here today said in the meeting, issues, including designated camps and ceasefire among the different factions as initiated by the Joint Forum of the Gaon Burah(GB) Association and Dobhashi (DB) Union of Nagaland, were discussed.

The state government urged NSCN(K) representatives to allow the GBs and DBs Forum to restore peace as they had recently adopted a five-point resolution for cease-fire among Naga underground factions.

Official sources said the meeting was ''cordial and fruitful.'' Nagaland Commissioner T N Mannen, who represented the state government, said, ''During the talks held this time, the NSCN(K) was genuine and forthcoming and they proposed three to four locations for setting up their designated camps. The matter is now under consideration of the CFSB which would make a survey and discuss the issue.'' Apart from Mr Mannen, the meeting was attended by CFSB Chairman Lt Gen (Retd) R V Kulkarni, Maj Gen K S Sethi, the inspector general of Assam Rifles, the DIG (Ops) of CRPF, Nagaland Director General of Police J Changkija and other senior officials.

The NSCN(K) was led by deputy kilonser of home Wangtin Konyak, along with cabinet secretary Netovi and central council member Hukato.
