Bomb hoax in Garibrath express

Ara, Aug 14 (UNI) The rumours of a bomb placed in Delhi bound Garibrath Express triggered panic at Ara railway station today.

But later they turned out to be a hoax.

Police Superintendent of Bhojpur district said here that bomb disposal squad searched every compartment of the train and found no bomb or any other explosive material.The train which departed from Patna was detained at Ara station for 45 minutes and after security clearnce, it was allowed to resume onward journey.

''It appears that some anti-social elements had informed the police to create a sense of fear among the people on the eve of Independence Day,'' he added.
