BJP leader Thankappan passes away

Kochi, Aug 14 (UNI) BJP National Council Member O G Thankappan (74) died at a private hospital here last night after a brief illness.

Mr Thankappan, a bachelor, was the former party state vice-president and had held various positions in the state leadership of the Bharathiya Masdoor Sangh.

The body would be taken to his native place Aluva. The funeral will take place this afternoon.
