Aizawl book fair sans visitors

Aizawl, Aug 14(UNI) The organisers of Aizawl Book Fair, held at Vanapa Hall here, are upset over the lukewarm response from people of the second-most literate state of India.

"I took the trouble of bringing 'you-will-never-find-in-Aizawl' books worth Rs 25 lakh. "But the response has failed my expectations," rued Ramesh Tiwary from Kolkata's Bookline.

"I have sold almost nothing," Tiwary lamented.

This is not the first time Tiwari conducted book fair in Aizawl, he had done it in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
