Kottayam, Aug 14 (UNI) All-India Ration Dealers Association General Secretary Babychen Mukkadan today appealed to the Kerala Government to constitute a special Vigilance squad under the leadership of Civil Supplies Director to contain black-marketing of ration items.

At a news conference here, he charged that the Civil Supplies officials, who were supposed to take action against black marketeers, were part of the mafia.

Officials had seized ration items worth Rs two crore from 14 centres during the past seven months but no action was taken in any case, he charged and demanded to entrust the inquiry to the Crime Branch.
