33 infiltration bids foiled across LoC this year: Jaiswal

New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) The Government today said 33 infiltration bids by terrorists were foiled across the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir till August 10 this year.

Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal, in a written reply in the Lok Sabha, said 57 terrorists were also killed by the security forces while chasing away the infiltrators.

He said as per the report received from the Jammu and Kashmir Government, the infiltrating terrorists launch attacks and fire upon security forces.

A dialogue to resolve the issue was on with the Pakistan government, he said, adding that ceasefire along the LoC was ''holding well'' and has made the life of people residing in these areas ''safe and comfortable''.
