2 drown and one electrocuted in Dimapur
Kohima, Aug 14 (UNI) In a tragic incident a class eight student of a private school of Dimapur met his watery grave at Chate River near Chumukedima yesterday.
Official sources said today one Moasunep from Nokpur village under Mokokchung district, who went for a bath in a river, suddenly slipped into it and was swept away by the strong current.
Police, with the help of local people, tried to recover the body of the victim.
In another incident one middle-aged man identified as Sosangnuken (40) of Kilengman village in Mokokchung district also drowned in the Milak River in the district few days back.
His body had been recovered, police said.
Earlier, in Dimapur, one Pauramkhubo, a student of class ten from a private school and a resident of Signal Angami Basti was electrocuted when he was repairing a cable at his home, sources said.
