Two gangmen runover by train while repairing track

Ambala, Aug 13 (UNI) Two gangmen of the Railways on repair duty of the tracks near the Cantonment Railway Station here, were run over by a train this morning.

A group of five gangmen was repairing the track when 3UN Passenger train left the station at around 0930 hrs today on the same track.

While two of the group were crushed by the train, the other three saved their lives by jumping off the track.

The badly crushed bodies of the gangmen Attar Singh and Babu Lal had been sent for post mortem at the civil hospital.

The Station Manager R.N. Meena said that an enquiry would be held into the incident.

Following the accident, railway traffic was affected for a short while which was cleared later on.
