Quake, 7.2 magnitude, reported near Vanuatu - USGS

WASHINGTON, Aug 13 (Reuters) A 7.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded 46 km east of Santo in the South Pacific island archipelago of Vanuatu, the US Geological Survey reported today.

The quake was at a depth of 172 km with an epicenter 1,996 km northeast of Brisbane, Australia, the USGS said.
