Pak to carry forward peace process with India
Islamabad, Aug 13: Pakistan today said it wanted to carry forward the dialogue process with India to resolve issues that caused conflicts and tension in the region.
''The most important of them is the Kashmir dispute that needs to be resolved in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people,'' foreign ministry spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam told a press briefing here.
She said the solution had to be acceptable to Pakistan and India but more importantly to the people of Kashmir.
When asked about the kind of relations that Pakistan would like to have with India, she said, ''We want to have a relationship where disputes are resolved and the two countries are able to take advantage of economic opportunities in each other's countries.'' ''We have to create an atmosphere of trust for a sustained peace and progress in the region,'' she stressed.
