VHP to protest against bringing down bridge at Rameshwaram
Mumbai, Aug 12 (UNI) Activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will protest in South Mumbai tomorrow against breaking of the bridge at Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu.
According to a press release issued by the VHP office here, the protest is a part of the nation-wide agitation organised by the VHP opposing the breaking of the bridge. According to Hindu mythology, the bridge is supposed to have been built by Lord Rama on his way to Lanka (now Sri Lanka) to fight the demon king Ravana.
The protest will take place outside Churchgate railway station at 1800 hours tomorrow.
