Students urged to join land-struggle

Hyderabad, Aug 12 (UNI) CPI Andhra Pradesh unit secretary K Narayana today called upon the student community to participate in the struggle for distribution of house-sites to the poor in the state.

Talking on the anniversary celebrations of the All India Students Federation (AISF) Dr Narayana said students should not keep away from the agitation assuming that the problem did not concern them.

He said the involvement of students would strengthen the 'Bhooporatam'- struggle for land for the landless.

The party would not be cowed down by the repressive measures being adopted by the government he said and warned that the stir would be further strengthened if the government did not respond to it properly.

UNI
