Students make biggest "I-Day" greeting card in TN
Chennai, Aug 12: Students of Wigan and Leigh College (WLC) India has created a gigantic greeting card 'Freedom 60' to commemorate India's 60th year of Independence at Spencer Plaza here.
The innovative greeting card is expected to get a direct entry in the Limca book of records 2008.

The
unique
aspect
of
the
card
was
that
this
was
for
the
first
time
the
marble
art
technique
was
applied
to
a
60-feet-high
vinyl
sheet.
Five chosen students from the advertising and graphic design department desigined the vinyl, with the help of air blowers.
''Proper care was taken to mix colours. The dilution of paints in water was also efficiently controlled since it was very important for the procedure'', WLC College Advertising and Graphic Design Head of the Department Immanuel said.
''Our team took painstaking efforts to design pattern and merge paints to bring out the right colours of the national flag'', he said adding ''it has also been an occasion of great honour for all of us to do something different on this Independence Day''.
