One killed at Churachandpur blast

Imphal, Aug 12 (UNI) At least one person was killed and two others, including a woman, were injured in a bomb blast at Churachandpur district yesterday.

Police here today said a man, identified as Umesh, was killed in the blast which occured near Churachandpur police station.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were declared to be out of danger, police added.

To protest the blast, various students unions today called a bandh in the district.
