Heroin worth crore seized, 7 held

Lucknow, Aug 12 (UNI) Police claimed to have busted a drug-gang of seven people from Rajabpur area of Jyotiba Phulenagar district and seized heroin, estimated to be of Rs one crore in the international market.

The gang of seven was arrested by police at National Highway late last night.

One kilograms of heroin, eight cartridges, four mobile phones, a rifle, and Rs 1,500 were recovered from them.

The accused were identified as Ram Khiladi, Ram Avatar, Om Prakash, Jaiveer, Rishipal, Khursheed and driver Laxminarayan.

A case had been registered and the accused were sent to jail.
