Expulsion not surprising: Gunjal
Bhilwara, Aug 12 (UNI) BJP MLA Prahlad Gunjal said he was not surprised over the state party leadership's decision to expel him from the party.
Mr Gunjal, who was here to attend the Gujjar Mahapanchayat to drum up support for its demand for inclusion in the ST list for reservation, said he is not ''unduly bothered'' by his expulsion from the party. He said his priority was to work for the fulfilment of the Gujjar community's demand of getting into the ST list.
The Gujjar leader, who represents the Ramgaj Mandi in the Assembly, said his election to the next Assembly election is a forgone conclusion while whether Vasdundhara Raje will be there as the Chief Minister is ''doubtful.'' The news of Gunjal's expulsion reached here during the Mahapanchayat being held here today. ''I will not join any party untill the demand for reservation is not met,'' he assrtd.
Another suspended Gujjar MLA Attar Singh Bhadana claimed that the expulsion of Gunjal was uncalled for as he has done nothing to warrant such an action. ''The party should expel those who have breached discipline and indulge in anti-party activities. Gunjal has done nothing to invite expulsion,'' he noted.
