UP: Chandra Shekhar's ashes submerged
Allahabad, Aug 12: The Ashes of former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar, who died last month, were today submerged at Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati rivers here.
The sons of the late political heavyweight, Pankaj Kumar and Neeraj Shekhar, flew over to the temple town along with their extended family and submerged the ashes.
Political leaders of various parties paid tributes to the late Prime Minister's ashes, which were kept for a while at the Circuit House, and then taken to Quila Ghat and Sangam.
