UP flood shuts schools

Siddharthnagar, Aug 11 (UNI) Almost 832 primary and junior high schools continued to remain closed in the flood-hit Gorakhpur and Basti divisions of Uttar Pradesh.

About 284 primary and 14 junior high school in Siddharthnagar, 225 primary and 66 junior high school in Gorakhpur, 78 primary and 19 junior high school in Maharajganj, 46 primary and 14 junior high school in Kushinagar were closed due to flood.

Fifteen primary and 4 junior high schools in Deoria, 5 primary and one junior high school in Sant Kabirnagar and 61 primary schools in Basti were also closed.
