Karunanidhi greets VP-elect Ansari

Chennai, Aug 11: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today congratulated Dr Mohammad Hamid Ansari on his election as the Vice-President of the country yesterday.

In a statement here, he said ''the country is quite confident that you will definitely safeguard the secular and democratic traditions. I earnestly wish you a happy and comfortable tenure in the office.''
