Ahmedabad, Aug 11: As part of its commitment to promote young talent, JP Morgan has set up its first Bloomberg news terminal in India at the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A).

''JP Morgan shares a great relationship with IIM-A as a lead recruiter on the campus and many of our senior business heads belong to this prestigious business school. The initiative to empower students with real time business information shows our commitment to strengthening the relationship as well as contributing to the development of future business leaders,'' Head of Human Resources department of JP Morgan, Larry O'Donnel told reporters here yesterday.

Speaking on the launch, Ramesh Narayanswamy, Executive Director, Markets, JP Morgan, said, ''We made a promise to the students last october to provide them with easier access to real time information and here we are today sponsoring a Bloomberg news terminal. Our professionals use these terminals every day, so we hope this will serve as a great resource for IIM-A students to familiarise themselves with this fantastic tool while they are still in school.'' Access to the right information at the right time is key to any business, and use of technology like Bloomberg on a regular basis will help students stay up-to-date with business news and information from around the world.

''We are delighted that our students will have access to real time business news and information through the Bloomberg. IIM-A is committed to enhance the learning experience of its students in every possible way,'' said IIM-A Director Dr Bakul H Dholakia.
