Vaidya loses trust vote by one vote in Mandi MC

Mandi, Aug 10 (UNI) Hemant Raj Vaidya, President city Municipal Council today lost vote of confidence by a solitary vote here.

A meeting of 13-member house of Nagar Parishad had been called by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in response to a no-confidence notice signed by seven municipal council members.

With seven members voting against the motion of confidence, Mr Vaidya lost the game.

A meeting to elect new president of the municipal council would be summoned within 21 days by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate.
