Sugar prices slip again on large stock arrival from mills

Navi Mumbai, Aug 10 (UNI) Wholesale spot sugar prices today suffered a setback on thin consumers demand in the face of large stock arrival from mills, traders at the wholesale sugar market said.

Prices of small and medium grades dropped by Rs 5 and Rs ten per quintal respectively on increased offers by stockists in view of better inflows from co-operative mills, traders said.

Ex-mill prices of small and medium grades also eased by Rs ten each in line with open market prices, traders added.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,300/1,340, Medium grade Rs 1,340/1,456.

Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,275/1,290, Medium grade: Rs 1,320/1,400 UNI AR OBB AG1627
