Rupee opens weak at 40.65/69

Mumbai, Aug 10: Rupee has posted a decline by 13 paise at Rs 40.65/69 per U S Dollar against previous close of 40.52/53 in an volatile trading at the interbank foreign exchange market this morning.

The local currency opened in a wide range and traded at lower level of Rs 40.69 for some time before quoting at a high of Rs 40.62 per dollar, dealers said.

Forex dealers attributed the weakening of Rupee against American Greenback to the bearish mood in stock market and overall weak trend prevailed in global financial market.
