Prisoner commits suicide

Basti, Aug 10 (UNI) A prisoner committed suicide in his barrack after consuming poison here.

District Magistrate Saurabh Babu said here today ''Ramkishan (40) put an end to his life by consuming poisonous substance yesterday.'' Ramkishan, resident of Mehdaval town in Santkabirnagar district, was admitted to hospital where he succumbed.

Investigations were underway.
