NSCN(IM) self-styled officer shot dead

Kohima, Aug 10 (UNI) Unidentified gunmen shot dead a 'Raja Peyu' (Area Administrator) of NSCN(IM) at Longkong village in Nagaland's Mokokchung district on Wednesday, a report received here said today.

The slain was identifed as Chubamayang (50) of Longkong village and was the 'Raja Peyu' of Changkikong range of the NSCN(IM).

Sources said three to four armed assailants came to his home on Wednesday night and shot him from a close range.

Later, police recovered four empty cases of AK 47 rifle bullets from the spot.

Police registered a case and investigation was on.
