Max New York Life starts its JK operations

Jammu , Aug 10 (UNI) Max New York Life today commenced its operations in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) after having being present in India for over six years.

While talking to the media, Vice President Kenneth Sannoo said the company wants people to view insurance as a financial protection and wealth creation instrument and not just as a tax-saving option.

''Our focus has always been on providing risk protection and long-term wealth creation solutions to our consumers,'' he said adding that with a diverse product portfolio, the company is setting benchmark in the market.

An ever-expanding presence of Max New York Life offices across India, the company's commitment to serving the nation is reinforced.

''We are delighted at the prospect of starting our operations in J&K and feel that we would go a long way in educating people about the true potential of life insurance,'' he added.

With the right mix of quality advice offered by the company's agent advisors and product offerings, the company has sold over 1.64 million policies and recorded a sum assured of over 49,800 crore.

He said Max New York Life, which started its operations in India in 2001, has established a countrywide network of 172 offices and representatives across 120 cities. The first general office has been set up in Jammu city.
