JD(S)-BJP power transfer as per agreement: Horatti
Gulbarga, Aug 10 (UNI) The transfer of power between JD(S) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka would take place as per the agreement reached between the two coalition parties, Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister Basavaraj Horatti said today.
Talking to newspersons here, he said Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy would step down on October 2 and hand over the power to BJP to form the next coalition government in the state.
Referring to the statement made by Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Assembly N Dharam Singh that JD(S) would ''ditch'' BJP and was already inclined to form the government with Congress, Mr Horatti said ''Mr Dharam Singh is day-dreaming and it will not materialise.'' He said Mr Kumaraswamy, keeping in mind his political future, would not create any problem as far as the power transfer was concerned.
