Imposter freedom fighters to be taken to task
Allahabad, Aug 10 (UNI) Newly appointed chairman of Freedom Movement Fighter Welfare Council Anand Shekhar Giri today said stern action would be initiated against imposter freedom fighters.
Addressing a joint news-conference with Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department Corporation vice president Kamlashankar Bharti here, Mr Giri said he had sent a fresh set of recommendations to the government in this regard.
''Any person, who had spent one month in jail during independence struggle will be considered a freedom fighter. Presently, this duration is two months,'' he added.
