IIT Doctorate honour for U R Rao

Bangalore, Aug 10: Former Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman U R Rao has been conferred doctorate degree by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). Delhi.

According to an ISRO release, President Pratiba Patil, will confer the Degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) upon Prof U R Rao, currently Chairman of the Council of Physical Research Laboratory of the Department of Space.

Prof Rao would receive this highest honour of the IIT during the convocation to be held tomorrow.
