Govt to fasttrack PPP projects worth Rs 250 cr
New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) The Government has decided to fasttrack public private partnership (PPP) projects worth over Rs 250 crore to boost infrastructure development.
Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (PPPAC), set up in January 2006, has been tasked to complete due diligence in four weeks for final approval of the projects envisaging investment of more than Rs 250 crore, an official statement said today.
Of the 40 proposals received by PPPAC since its inception, 28 have been granted in-principle or final approval, it said, adding that of 29 road projects received so far, 23 have been granted in-principle or final approval.
Earlier, such approval took 14-16 weeks.
